Take your AI idea from prototype to working product at the AMD Developer Hackathon: ACT III in Milan.
This hackathon brings together developers, founders, engineers, students, and AI builders to create high-performance applications and agents using AMD GPUs in the cloud.
The challenge
Build an end-to-end AI application, agent, or developer tool powered by AMD technology.
Participants will get the opportunity to work with:
Cloud-accessible AMD GPUs
The ROCm open-source software stack
AI and machine learning development resources
Technical guidance from mentors and industry experts
Training and learning materials from the AMD ecosystem
Everything runs in the cloud. You do not need to own AMD hardware or complete a complex local setup before you begin.
You can explore AI agents, model training and fine-tuning, workload benchmarking, developer tooling, high-performance machine learning, or an original use case of your own. Detailed tracks will be announced before the kickoff.
Build at SmartCityLab Milano
The Milan on-site experience will take place at SmartCityLab Milano, an innovation hub where technology, sustainability, and design come together to turn ideas into practical projects.
Over the weekend, you’ll have space to:
Work intensively with your team
Exchange ideas with other AI builders
Get hands-on technical guidance
Test and improve your application
Prepare for the final submission
Pitch your project live
Connect with Milan’s startup and technology community
The total hackathon prize pool is $5,000.
Who is it for?
Join us if you are:
An AI or machine learning engineer

Curious about AMD GPUs, ROCm, and cloud-based AI development
Previous hackathon experience is not required. You can build alone or in a team of up to six people.
