Come see where AI and design engineering are going next. Learn how the people closest to the edge turn new possibilities into meaningful work, and how they decide what is worth putting into the world. Learn more about Impeccable in @cassidoo's walkthrough of Impeccable in the new GitHub Copilot app to learn more about Paul's new skill. Watch Dr. Zilevu's talk at Config 2026 on Own The Loop. Check out Quirine's computational design profile piece on Microsoft Design.

Who is Paul Bakaus? Paul Bakaus is a product engineer, two-time founder, and creative technologist who has spent more than 20 years working where code, design, and culture meet. He created jQuery UI, helped shape Chrome DevTools, AMP, Web Stories, and Spotter Studio, and has consistently built tools that make creative work faster and more expressive. Today, he is the founder and CEO of Renaissance Geek, whose first product, Impeccable, helps AI coding agents understand design and has already reached more than 40,000 GitHub stars and 300,000 installs. pbakaus

Who is Setor Zilevu? Dr. Zilevu is a computer scientist and AI researcher who has built his career at the intersection of AI and UX. He earned his Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction from Virginia Tech, developed the Z Methodology for human-AI collaboration, and created a clinically tested stroke-rehabilitation platform. After leading consumer AI research at Meta, he is now a Staff Researcher at Figma focused on AI evaluations. He was named an MIT Technology Review Innovator Under 35 and created NYU Tandon’s UX for AI curriculum. https://setorzilevu.com/

Who is Quirine van Walt Meijer? Quirine is Head of Design for Microsoft Foundry, working at the intersection of design, code, and AI. Trained as an Industrial Design Engineer (BSc & MSc, TU Delft), she moved from consulting into multimodal automotive design, and now reimagines how developers and applied scientists build, debug, optimize, and govern agentic systems at scale, combining deep product thinking with hands-on craft. Today she leads and coaches design leaders and technical tool builders, bringing designers closer to code. https://microsoft.design/articles/vibe-coding-makes-prototyping-close-to-code-closer-to-users/
