Realizing the Value of Climate Resilience - From Tipping Points to Turning Points
Climate resilience is often framed through finance, technology, or targets, but a deeper economic opportunity is now coming into focus. Climate adaptation is beginning to scale as real economic activity—rooted in land, water, forests, and the living systems that regulate heat and sustain life.
The case is clear: every dollar invested in adaptation is estimated to return $12–$42 in economic benefits. The challenge is no longer whether adaptation pays, but whether our economic models can recognize and reward the work of restoring balance.
This panel brings together perspectives from Indigenous stewardship, ecological economics, and digital infrastructure to explore how climate resilience can scale rapidly when capital aligns with the living systems it depends on. The opportunity now is to invest in adaptation, not as an abstract goal, but as care for the conditions that make economies—and life—possible.
