​The pace of innovation is accelerating, and AI is unlocking possibilities faster than anyone could have anticipated.

​However, alongside the opportunities AI presents the UK remains slow to adopt it in defence settings, and for good reason. Much of the AI available today is built and controlled overseas. Revealing important questions about who holds the data, how secure it is, how much confidence should be placed in non-sovereign technologies, and critically if these models can be relied upon when we need them.
