About the Speaker
Lemar Marie Brown, MBA, NACD.CD is a corporate board director with leadership experience, proven profit & loss results, and strengths in negotiating, finance, international strategy, and risk management. She recently gave a TEDx talk.
She was elected to the board of Certarus, a private Canadian "green energy" supplier. After doubling EBITDA year-on-year, the company successfully exited for over $1 billion. Currently, Lemar is an advisory board member of a private renewable company and has achieved the National Association of Corporate Directors' Directorship Certification.
Lemar retired after over 25 years with Shell plc and Goldman Sachs. She negotiated and closed several large ($500,000+) deals while working for Shell and was an Executive Professor at the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. She continues to enjoy guest lecturing and speaking about negotiating and board service.
