WTF is Fuckup Nights?
Failure is a part of any success story, but we don't talk about it enough. We've all been to plenty of events where people tell you how they hacked, hustled, and created their success, but very few where someone gets up and says "I totally messed up, and this is what you can learn from it."
Fuckup Nights Toronto is part of a global speaker series where stories of failed businesses and projects are shared. Each speaker is given 10 minutes and is able to use 10 images. After each speaker, there’s a Q&A session, as well as time for mingling and drinks!

Beckie and Dominique are the dynamic duo behind Beck’s Broth, a brand on a mission to make nourishing, protein-rich comfort foods both delicious and easy to enjoy.
Beckie, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and CEO of Beck’s Broth, has always been passionate about helping people nourish their bodies in ways that feel simple and satisfying. Her love for the health benefits of bone broth inspired her to create innovative products that go beyond savoury soups—think coffee and hot chocolate with a nutrient-dense twist.
Dominique, with a background in engineering and a heart for wellness, is equally passionate about good food and helping others thrive. She founded The Happy Era as an outlet for her love of food and health, which ultimately led her to cross paths with Beckie. Together, they joined forces to turn a superfood into something super delicious.
Izzy Piyale-Sheard: Founder of ClearCareer and creator of Monetize Your Magic
Izzy is possibly the most positive person on Earth. He used be the Community Manager at a coding bootcamp in Toronto called Lighthouse Labs and before that he organized international coworking retreats around the world with Hacker Paradise.
He is also proud of having started a peer-mentorship community for entry-level job seekers called ClearCareer, with over 900 members today!
Now Izzy helps Early-Stage Coaches and Consultants Price, Package, and Sell + Land High Ticket Clients through a 90-day accelerator for professionals ready to turn their skills into consistent income every month.
Carol Devine: Chief Operating Officer at SeeChange Initiative
Carol Devine is a social scientist, writer, activist, researcher, and conceptual artist who’s spent her life championing climate action, health equity, and the protection of our planet’s beauty.
She previously led the Humanitarian Action on Climate and Environment Initiative at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), collaborating globally on adaptation, early warning, and decarbonization projects. Today, she’s the COO at SeeChange Initiative, a non-profit that empowers communities to create innovative, community-driven health and social solutions.
But navigating the worlds of activism, art, and humanitarian work hasn’t been without detours and difficult lessons. Join us at Fuckup Nights Toronto for Carol’s raw and inspiring story about building a life at the intersection of change, creativity, and resilience.
