About this Event

Stop guessing about Philippine AI usage, opportunities, and gaps based on global hype. The Philippine AI Report team analyzed 175 local organizations to find the ground truth for our market.

In this deep dive, Tim Santos, Founder and Project Lead of the Philippine AI Report will discuss what the data reveals about tech startups and talent, providing practical insights for Philippine AI builders. The Philippine AI Report was a collaborative effort getting contributions from Swarm, AAP, and experts in the field such as Dexter Ligot-Gordon, Sherwin Pelayo, Dominic Ligot, Aldo Santos, Justine Rex Llanes, and team.

What We’ll Cover:

  • The Hype Filter (for Products): Identifying which AI features and products have long-term value—and which ones will be "cannibalized" by Big Tech (OpenAI, Google, Apple) or when the next frontier AI model update comes along.

  • The Hype Filter (for Talent): Identifying which skills to learn that have long-term value for the future of talent who want to work in AI startups.

  • The Strategic Window: Why the next year is a unique opportunity for PH startups and AI talent to define their niche and establish a competitive edge.

Note from our speaker Tim Santos:

"Having spent years building global AI infrastructure and working alongside frontier companies, I want to bring that collective wisdom back home to the Philippines. A Silicon Valley playbook won’t just copy-paste to Manila, don't get me wrong, there's a lot to learn from these playbooks. We’re taking the ground truth from 175 Philippine organizations and translating between global best practices and local nuances. I’m here to help our local founders and talent get maximum performance out of this technology, bend it to their creative will, and build an ecosystem that actually works for the Philippines."
