Hoche Hour with Pascal Cagni (C4 Ventures): From Steve Jobs' Apple to VC & European AI Sovereignty
Join Us for An Evening with One of Europe's Most Influential Tech Leaders & Investors
Pascal Cagni is a rare combination: a proven global operator, successful venture investor, and influential voice in European economic policy.
Personally recruited by Steve Jobs in 2000, Pascal led Apple's EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India, and Africa) region. From then till 2012, Pascal was key to Apple’s unprecedented 12-year growth journey:
revenue multiplied from $1.3 billion to over $40 billion;
iconic product launches including the iPod, iPhone, and iPad;
opening 20+ offices; and
pioneering the Apple Premium Reseller network now present in 1,200+ stores worldwide.
As Founder & CEO of C4 Ventures, Pascal has built one of Europe's leading deep tech VC firms, backing 54 startups with over a dozen becoming unicorns, including Nest (acquired by Google), Graphcore, Formlabs, Riskified (NYSE), and most recently Yann LeCun's AMI Labs. His recently launched €100M Fund III focuses on European AI sovereignty, quantum computing, and robotics.
Since 2017, Pascal has served as French Ambassador for International Investments and Chairman of Business France, transforming France into Europe's #1 destination for foreign direct investment for six consecutive years. He played a key role in establishing the annual "Choose France Summit" in Versailles, attracting over €85 billion in investments.
Pascal holds an MBA from HEC Paris, studied at Sciences Po and Stanford University, and serves on the Executive Board of the Palace of Versailles.
Why You Can't Miss This
This is a rare opportunity to hear from someone who has operated at the highest levels of global tech (under Steve Jobs and Tim Cook), built one of Europe's most successful venture portfolios, and shaped France's economic transformation. Pascal bridges worlds that rarely intersect: Silicon Valley operational excellence, European deep tech innovation, heritage preservation, and public policy.
In conversation with Jean-Rémi de Maistre (CEO & Co-Founder of Jus Mundi), Pascal will share his perspectives on scaling global champions, AI development, and what Europe must do to compete technologically. Topics directly relevant to anyone building, investing in, or working within innovative ecosystems.
C4 Ventures is an investor of Jus Mundi: reflecting Pascal's conviction that technology should democratize access to justice, and a shared vision that technology should be at the service of mankind and society at large. Join us to hear the strategic insights that drive his approach to backing companies using AI to transform critical sectors.
