Whether you're just beginning to think about intellectual property or want to better understand how it fits into your business, this is the place to start.
IP 101 is the first workshop in Communitech's ElevateIP learning series. You'll learn the fundamentals of intellectual property, understand which types of protection may apply to your business and begin building an IP strategy that supports your commercial goals.
Alexis Conrad (Principal, IP Strategy and Policy at Communitech) will be joined by guest IP professionals to deliver this free, hands-on workshop. A combination of practical learning and guided exercises will ensure you leave with knowledge you can put to work immediately.
You'll learn how to:
Understand the most common forms of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
Connect your IP strategy to your business and commercialization goals.
Develop the first draft of an IP strategy with guidance from experienced IP professionals.
