Think of it as a “networking tech crawl” as you move between two cutting-edge ocean ventures, Shift Coastal Technologies and SEAMOR Marine.
This exclusive event offers a unique chance to connect with industry pioneers, explore groundbreaking marine technologies firsthand, and mingle with like-minded professionals in a relaxed, vibrant setting.
Our co-host for this event is the Marine Technology Society (MTS), a global hub for advancing marine technology and supporting the people who develop, deploy, and lead it.
The Society publishes a peer-reviewed journal — The Marine Technology Society Journal, supports Professional Committees (technical interest groups), hosts several conferences yearly, and supports a community of regional Sections, which focus on events and programs unique to their geographic areas, enhancing networking among local colleagues, businesses, universities and government/military offices.
Shift Coastal Technologies:
3 – 4:30 pm at 40 Esplanade Ave, Nanaimo
Shift designs and deploys unmanned systems for enhanced coastal monitoring and security. Visit their brand new facility to view the company’s innovations, like the Coastal Intelligence Management System (CiMS™), which integrates multiple sensors and systems into a single interface for real-time data visualization and control across air, sea, and subsea platforms.
SEAMOR Marine:
4:30 – 6:30 pm at 1914 Northfield Road, Nanaimo
SEAMOR is proudly Canadian, designed and built in Nanaimo, with recent operations expanding to Nova Scotia. The company has been advancing ROV technology and delivering reliable, high-performance solutions to the marine industry for almost 19 years. This event is a unique opportunity to see their ROV technology up close.
Attendees will get the first look at new SEAMOR innovations, including a vehicle that will define a groundbreaking ROV category and upcoming components planned for release in early 2026.
Guests will also have the chance to pilot an ROV in their tank and tour the facility to see first hand how SEAMOR is shaping the future of ocean technology.
