​Around the world, land degradation from intensive agricultural practices, forestry, and mining cause the deep and chronic erosion of water tables. As wetlands home to biodiverse communities of animals and plants (which also serve as natural carbon sinks) dry out, cascading effects on critical ecosystems follow. Water is life.

​In this session, we’ll explore catchment-based designs and simple, community-driven interventions that can restore soil structure, revive vegetation, and support thriving biodiversity.
