Learning Lab 08: Permaculture for Community Nourishment
"Permaculture for Community Nourishment" with Zebulon Horrell, Mangaroa Farms.
If you’re interested in land regeneration, you may have heard of permaculture—a philosophy and approach to working with the land that follows nature’s rhythms and forms. But how practical is it, really?
Next up in Learning Lab, we’re joined by Zebulon (Zeb) Horrell of Mangaroa Farms, a regenerative hub and education center in Aotearoa (New Zealand) exploring how permaculture practices can feed community, increase biodiversity, and improve the health of land.
As a farmer and educator, Zeb spends his days planting hundreds of trees, improving soil health and exploring state-of-the-art regenerative practices.
In this interactive webinar, Zeb will share how Mangaroa Farms is bringing healthy food to their greater community with regenerative practices, including permaculture. We'll also discuss how permaculture draws deeply from traditions of original peoples across the world, and how diverse practices can increase local resiliency. Come curious with questions about how permaculture can nourish land and community.
Learning Lab is Ma Earth's interactive webinar series where land stewards share skills and connect with practitioners of regeneration. Sessions are published in Ma Earth's Learning Lab library.
