Save The Date - Paolo’s Birthday Weekend in the Langhe
20 - 22 November 2026 | Langhe, Piedmont, Italy
🎟 Pre-register your interest here, more details to come!
I’m excited to invite you to a very special weekend in one of Italy’s most magical regions: the Langhe, land of white truffles, world-class wines, exquisite chocolate, artisanal (and gloriously smelly :) cheeses, and rolling vineyard-covered hills that look painted at golden hour.
I’ll be celebrating a birthday that’s far too elegant for numbers, and I’d love to share a slice of the land I come from with my friends, old and new! Here’s the plan:
(Yes, we are talking 2026 - more than a year away - but I know how busy you are, so trying to get on your calendar early 😉)
🍷 Friday, 20 November - The First Flute
We’ll begin in Savigliano, my hometown, with an evening at Cantina 121, a new Wine & Food bar I’m part of. There’ll be live music, delicious local dishes, and a curated tasting of the finest wines from the very same wine label - Cantina 121 (don't go too crazy cause it's only day 1 😉).
🎩 Saturday, 21 November - The Birthday Ball
The main event, my actual birthday celebration: an unforgettable gala night set in a spectacular Langhe venue, nestled among golden vineyards.
A bit like our own version of the New York Met Gala, the theme will be revealed closer to the date - but you can expect it to be inspired by our land’s finest treasures: truffles, wines, and Piedmontese elegance. Plus, a dance floor where the DJs will make leaving impossible!
🍄 Sunday, 22 November - Truffles, Tradition & Till We Meet Again
We’ll close the weekend at the historic Castle of Grinzane Cavour - the official headquarters of the Order of the Knights of the Truffle and Wines of Alba.
The day will feature a white truffle lunch, a breathtaking performance by Italy’s historic sbandieratori (flag-throwers), and the formal induction of new Knights.
This year’s ceremony will be particularly special, with the presence of many international chapters: the English Chapter from London, the Austrian Chapter from Vienna, and more.
At some point during the weekend, we’re also considering a truffle hunt or a rustic lunch in the forest - stay tuned!
