Join us Thursday, July 23rd at 9:30 AM for an exclusive private morning with the MOTHER EURO community at CASERRA 71 and award-winning designer Matthew Williamson's lifestyle concept store in the enchanting village of Deià, Mallorca. Before the shop opens its doors to the public, we'll be the very first to shop the new Matthew Williamson x Free People collection. Matthew's first apparel collection in seven years, a sun-soaked summer capsule inspired by the island we'll be standing on.
This morning is a soft, private opening, ours before it's anyone else's. Iced matchas and coffees will be poured, cherry muffins served by Deià's beloved De Moniö, and the Caserra 71 team will welcome us into the space with the story behind the store and the collection.
THE EXPERIENCE
Hosted at CASERRA 71, the morning is part café gathering, part private shop, part introduction to one of Mallorca's most talked-about new spaces. Set across three rooms within a historic Spanish townhouse, the store is a celebration of colour, craftsmanship, and the expressive spirit of 1970s design, vintage homewares, archival fashion, Matthew's own paintings, and now, the Free People capsule. Matchas, muffins, and conversation will flow as we browse, try on, and shop together before the rest of the village wakes up to it.
THE COLLECTION
The Matthew Williamson x Free People capsule marks the designer's return to fashion, fifteen pieces rooted in the spirit of Mallorca, where Matthew now lives. Think bohemian fringe, colourful eyelet lace, crochet, and the romance of summer travel. Caserra 71 is home to the collection's dedicated European pop-up, and we'll shop it first. ABOUT MATTHEW WILLIAMSON
Matthew Williamson is an award-winning British designer whose three-decade career spans fashion, interiors, and lifestyle design with collaborations including H&M, Free People, The Coca-Cola Company, and Dusty Deco. Caserra 71, meaning "house in the mountains," is his newest and most personal chapter: a love letter to Mediterranean living, built room by room in Deià.
ABOUT DE MONIÖ
Deià's cherished café and conscious shop, De Moniö will be providing the morning's iced matchas, iced coffees, and cherry muffins: slow, considered, and locally loved. A perfect taste of the village to open the morning.
THE FLOW
We'll gather at Caserra 71 at 9:30 AM, with matchas and coffees arriving at 9:45. The Caserra 71 team will offer a short, warm welcome, followed by facilitated introductions around the room to spark genuine connection and all with plenty of time for what we came for: browsing, trying on, and shopping the collection together. The shop opens to the public at 11:30, so the space is entirely ours until then.
