Poetry Night
Brahim has been hosting monthly poetry gatherings at his home in Venice for years now. It is a space where people are invited to share what’s in their hearts and find solace in shared truth and beauty in these unsettling times.
As a KINN member, we wanted to bring this space to the community and expand the circle and power of this art form. The evening will conclude with thought provoking performance by artist Isabella Braveheart.
Come with a poem, a fragment, a question, or simply yourself. Nothing is required except the willingness to be present with what is true.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a complimentary spread featuring a vegan cheese and vegetable platter, alongside a charcuterie and classic cheese selection.
After a 25-year career in climate finance, Brahim Husseini turned toward writing after a painful and life-altering personal experience that reshaped how he understood trust, power and the forces that shape human behavior.
Brahim worked at the intersection of finance and environmental innovation, but following a devastating experience of financial fraud. He began channeling his attention inward.
His writing now explores the invisible architectures of human life: trauma, power, identity, justice, and the stories we tell ourselves to survive. Blending personal reflection, psychological observation, and cultural critique, his work examines how individuals and societies make sense of betrayal, conflict, and transformation.
Increasingly, that mapping has found its sharpest expression in poetry.
Today, his work sits at the intersection of essay and poem, inquiry and art. An ongoing exploration of what remains when the structures we relied on collapse, and how language can help us rebuild meaning from ruin.
