Let's walk and talk: किस्का शेहर? किस्ने बनया? (Delhi)

​Climate change is actively shaping who gets shade, who bears the heat, and who is designed out of the city entirely. In this session, we walk through our own campus and surroundings to ask: who is a city actually built for? Who holds the power to plan it - and who and what gets left out when we do?

​Through a gallery walk, a guided transect walk, and a collective discussion, we'll surface the fractures in how our cities are designed: the gap between progress measured in GDP and progress measured in connection and ecological rhythm; the absence of community and more-than-human life from planning tables; the distance between those who move through cities with ease and those who navigate them as a daily negotiation with heat, flooding, and risk.

​We'll leave what no longer serves us in a graveyard, and imagine together what we want to grow instead.

We will walk through the area of Mayur Vihar Phase -1 neighborhood. We will walk through some landmarks - Sanjay Lake, Uttara Temple- and cover a small part of the 'nala' road.
As we will start early in the morning, feel free to bring some breakfast snacks, chai/coffee, fruits, and nuts that we can share with each other. Do bring a cap, water, and anything else that will keep you hydrated and fresh through the walk.
