About Event

The sexual revolution promised liberation: greater freedom, equality, choice and the ability to define love and relationships on our own terms.

But decades later, an unexpected paradox has emerged. We have more freedom than perhaps any generation before us — yet loneliness is rising, relationships feel increasingly fragile, and many people struggle to create the lasting intimacy they desire.

So what happened to love in the age of freedom?

Drawing from his recently published Hebrew book The Morning After, Israeli author and thinker Nir Menussi explores the psychological and spiritual consequences of the sexual revolution — and asks whether our understanding of freedom itself may need to evolve.

Rather than rejecting the achievements of modernity or advocating a return to the past, Menussi searches for a third possibility: one that preserves freedom and equality while rediscovering the value of commitment, boundaries, masculine and feminine polarity, and the conditions that allow intimacy to deepen.

Bringing contemporary psychology and Western thought into conversation with Jewish wisdom and Kabbalah, The Morning After offers a provocative new way of thinking about love, desire, and relationships in the modern world.

The evening will include a talk followed by an open conversation and audience Q&A.

About: Rabbi Nir Menussi

Nir Menussi is an Israeli author, teacher and thinker whose work explores the meeting point between contemporary culture, psychology, spirituality, Jewish wisdom and Kabbalah. His writing seeks to bring ancient ideas into conversation with some of the most intimate questions of modern life, particularly love, identity, relationships and the evolving relationship between masculinity and femininity.

His latest Hebrew book, The Morning After: What Happened to Love in the Age of Freedom?, examines the legacy of the sexual revolution and searches for a new model of intimacy capable of reconciling freedom with commitment.
