About Event

Join us for "AI Leadership Lab: Designing Systems for Powerful Learning in Hawai'i" at Honolulu Tech Week at 'Iolani School!

This interactive 90-minute workshop brings together edtech leaders, policymakers, superintendents, principals, and community leaders to explore how AI can transform learning while honoring the cultural values that make Hawai'i's education system unique.

Co-facilitated with local Hawaiian education partners, this hands-on lab moves beyond theory to practical exploration of Digital Promise's AI Literacy Framework through collaborative exercises and real-world scenario planning. Leaders will tackle authentic challenges—from ensuring AI tools respect native Hawaiian knowledge systems to building educator capacity during budget constraints—while developing concrete strategies for systems-level transformation that serves all island communities.

Perfect for education leaders ready to move from AI anxiety to informed action, creating conditions where technology amplifies rather than diminishes cultural responsiveness and community connections.

Refreshments: Coffee, cookies, and other light refreshments will be served.

Stay at 'Iolani for the next event! This event will be immediately following by 'Iolani School's Talk Story Panel. After, we invite you to join us in community for dinner provided by event organizers.
