🪞 Campus Canvas [Members & +1s]
What it is
Campus Canvas is a weekly gathering space for artists to set, engage, and share their creative intentions in the loving company of other artists.
Think Van Gogh's Yellow House, Rick Rubin's Shangri-La, New York's Hotel Chelsea, or Gertrude Stein's apartment.
Bring your ideas and materials for video essays, pop songs, rock operas, tone poems, standup routines, YouTube videos, wire sculptures, screenplays, graphic novels, Ikebana flower arrangements, podcasts, dress designs, murals, video games, stop motion animation, zines, flash mobs, a cappella arrangements, and more.
We’ll brainstorm, collaborate, and bring our artistic visions to life. Whether you’re an experienced creator or just starting out, all are welcome to share their passion and inspiration in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Vibe
Here we aim to cultivate an environment where we can play and explore our artistic curiosities, intentions, and desires without the distractions of deadlines, money, or desire to impress others.
We ask you not to bring any school, job, startup, or other professional work here (there are plenty of other opportunities at the Commons to engage in this!).
Finding beauty, understanding, and meaning in act of creation is more important than any product that comes out of this time.
Success looks like each participant regaining their childlike wonder, curiosity and drive to respond to their innate creative impulses and sharing them with friends.
