About Event

A live crisis, three hours, and the people who'd be in the room when it happens. This tabletop exercise puts mixed-discipline teams through a facilitated cislunar infrastructure scenario, worked in real time through timed injects — discussion-based, no equipment, no scoring, no clearance required.

First flight in the PNW: This is John Squared's launch event with Seattle Space Week — arriving as new members of Space Northwest, and the first time this tabletop has run at Space Week.

Facilitator: Nick Reese — first-ever Director of Emerging Technology Policy at DHS, author of the 2022 DHS Space Policy, lead DHS representative for Space Policy Directive-5, NYU faculty, 3+ years facilitating space tabletop exercises, including prior deliveries at Space ISAC.

Why now: Artemis II flew in April 2026. The Office of Space Commerce has a Space Commerce Certification proposal on the table covering lunar operations, Congress is debating a 17th critical-infrastructure sector designation for space, and the administration's newly published space transportation policy is reshaping what's expected of the companies building for cislunar. This exercise works that policy directly into the scenario, so participants leave understanding not just the threat landscape but the rules being written around it right now.

Who this is for: Engineering, program, legal/regulatory, founders and BD, and supply chain — plus a deliberate seat at the table for legal, insurance, investor, and military/veteran representation. You do not need a cyber background to participate.

Format & seating: One 3-hour block. Round tables, teams of five (3–7 per table). 30–50 curated seats, application-screened. Note that tickets are nonrefundable.

What you leave with: A resource guide, your team's decision log, and a named set of capability gaps surfaced in the exercise.

Ground rules: Unclassified, open-source content only — no proprietary or export-controlled material. Discussion held under a non-attribution rule.

You won't want to miss it!
