How to Talk About AI and Accessibility
Our guest for this month's Accessible Thinking Live Session is Ian Pouncey, a web developer, accessibility specialist, and, since 2019, a director of Tetralogical, a highly respected accessibility consultancy in the UK.
Ian has worked in web development for over 25 years, and with well-known global companies including Yahoo!, Bloomberg, the BBC, and The Paciello Group. These days he's frequently in meetings with technical managers at Fortune 500 corporations, helping improve how they deliver digital accessibility. Lately, he's been asked a lot about generative AI and accessibility. Chances are, if you work in digital accessibility, you are (or will soon be) too.
"Can I replace my accessibility team with an AI subscription?"
"Can LLMs generate accessible code?"
"What does accessibility testing and monitoring look like in the age of AI?"
We'll put Ian on the spot for some helpful advice on how to talk to clients who are increasingly looking for answers (or ammunition?) to take back to their teams.
