In the mainstream technical narrative, “tomorrow” is synonymous with higher efficiency and tighter systems. Yet, in a world obsessed with radical optimization, we—as concrete, unpredictable human beings—are often viewed as nothing more than “friction” obstructing the flow of data.

Perhaps we have found ourselves inhabiting this hyper-controlled “tomorrow” sooner than the rest of the world. We were the first to feel the total gaze of the system upon the individual, and we know all too well the powerlessness that comes when conventional paths are severed. Precisely because the means of resistance in reality are so few, we feel an urgent need to discover a permissionless way to exist.

For us, the significance of Cypherpunk lies not in building a grand utopia, but in utilizing encryption and decentralized tools to safeguard the ultimate right of choice for the individual: to possess funds that require no approval to spend; to maintain records that require no censorship to persist; and to sustain an identity that requires no real-name authentication to exist.

Here, technology is not meant to "disrupt" the world, but to ensure that in any environment, we retain an inalienable bottom line for survival.

This is the original intent behind our Cypherpunk x Thinkers Assembly in Chiang Mai. When a suffocating reality closes in, a single-dimensional breakthrough is no longer enough. Only when builders ask “for whom are we building,” and when thinkers understand “what tools can we use to resist,” can we begin to chisel a gap for air within that seamless system.

Welcome to the world of tomorrow. There are no standard answers here—only sincere, sharp debate and the shared possibilities of freedom we build together.

We hope this serves as a genuine face-to-face exchange rather than a mere offline extension of online chatter. Participants from diverse backgrounds will share the same space, and the audience is invited to join the dialogue. Through interactive exhibitions and workshops, you will engage directly with these tools and practices, understanding how they weave into the fabric of daily life.
