Zines: From Start to Finish
Develop a zine from beginning to final draft in an encouraging group setting! 💡Hosted by Sabrina @starlyartstudio
We will cover the works: brainstorming, layouts, zine forms, organizing content and the basics of zine printing.
This event will include two 2-hour blocks with a 30 minute break in between for folks to snack, stretch, and socialize. (We have a lounge and kitchenette with refreshments, or feel free to bring your own!)
Each part of the workshop is hands on, with room for solo work, instructor feedback and group collaboration.
Come prepared with a few possible ideas or sources of inspiration (drawings, notebooks, poems, blurbs etc).
At the end, we'll show and tell and photocopy everyone's zines so you can take home each others' work!
Great for writers, artists and anyone with a story to tell! Some experience with zine making is preferable, but we love working with beginners too if you're up for a challenge.
Our studio is located at 21-07 41st Avenue. When you get to the building, please scan the QR code on the door and find The Collaboratory in the directory to be buzzed in.
