Genome Live #2 — Drawing the line: AI in your craft

​One question for the afternoon: where do you draw the line? Where AI comes in, and where the human stays.

​Furquan Ahmad, a product designer in London with Scale AI and Meta behind him, is fast and careful, two things that rarely travel together. He lets AI take an idea further than most of us would dare, all the way to something a client can trust. And he knows exactly what never crosses the line.

​Mai Elamin, Lead Product Designer at DNA.inc, joined our roundtable at Genome Live #1. This time she brings her own story: a month letting AI into the most human part of her craft, helping someone grow. What she got back is the thing mentoring never has enough of: time.

​Liva Grinberga is your host. Brand Design Lead at Cradle, and before that Design Director at Media.Monks and Hypersolid, she has helped shape Genome from the very start. She also moderates the roundtable: where do you draw the line in your own work, in your team, and with your clients?

​There'll be a photographer and a videographer. We use the images to tell the story of Genome: on our site and social channels, in press, and in presentations to partners and institutions. Tell us at the door if you'd rather not appear and we'll keep you out of frame.
