Contech After Hours: Building the Data Center Boom

Hosted by Zacua Ventures × GOLDBECK

AI may live in the cloud, but the cloud requires an extraordinary amount of physical infrastructure.

Join us for the first edition of Contech After Hours, a new event series bringing together the people building the technologies, companies, and infrastructure shaping the physical world.

This edition explores the data center construction boom: what is driving it, what is slowing it down, and how technology is changing the way these facilities are designed, powered, and built.

We’ll begin with a panel featuring leaders across data centers, construction, and technology.

Followed by drinks and conversations with founders, operators, investors, engineers, and the wider Bay Area tech community.

We’ll explore

• What AI demand means for data center growth

• Why power has become the central constraint

• How modular construction and automation can accelerate delivery

• Where startups can unlock the most value

• What the next generation of data centers will look like
