Blind Book Swap x naricircle
Never judge a book by its cover. This day, you won't see one.
Wrap a book you loved in brown paper, a newspaper page or anything you like. On the front, write three clues: a mood, a hook, a warning. No title, no author, no cheating.
The wrapped books go on the table and you choose by the clues alone. You might pick "Messy heroine. Paris. Will make you text your ex." or "Read it in one sitting. Missed my stop. Twice." You won't know what you've got until you open. 🤫
Then comes the fun part: finding the woman who wrapped it and asking what on earth she was thinking.
How it works
Bring one book you've loved, wrapped, with three clues on the front.
Grab a coffee and meet the table.
Choose your book blind, by its clues.
Unwrap, find its owner, compare notes.
Good to know
It's women only, and you can come alone. Most people do.
Any genre is welcome: romance, memoir, crime, poetry, the business book that changed your life.
Spaces are small, so everyone gets to talk.
You'll leave with a mystery book and probably a few new numbers.
Thursday 12 November · 6pm onwards
