Films for Foodies - Spotlight on Julia Child & the Art of French Cuisine 🇫🇷🇺🇸
Films for Foodies returns to the Kino & Bar, and this time, our spotlight is less one culture and more on one woman: chef, cookbook author, and TV personality Julia Child, whose legacy is synonymous with foodie culture 👩🏻🍳
We begin with a sneak (OmU) screening of a beloved film that traces Child's unlikely path from a directionless American in Paris to the icon who brought French cooking into homes across the world. Expect kitchen disasters, unshakeable joy, and a whole lot of Boeuf Bourguignon 🇫🇷
After the film, we invite you to join us for a community dinner at the Kino & Bar, where caterer and master chef Ellen Kleiber will present a prix fixe menu inspired by the film.
Feel free to come for just the film, join us afterwards for dinner, or spend the entire afternoon celebrating a life well-lived (and well-eaten) with the ReSee community. Come with a group, or come solo to connect with other foodies and appreciators of world culture. All are welcome at our dinner table 🍽️
Entry for the film is entirely donation-based, and we're thankful for whatever you can spare.
Our prix fixe menu for the evening costs €22, and meals must be reserved by Wednesday, July 29th. Vegetarian options are available as well.
We hope to see you there, and we hope you come hungry 💛
