About Event

When I first started my own business, pricing was something I really struggled with - I had done some pricing work in consulting/corporate, but this was very different, both from the mindset perspective (am I "worth" this??, how do I tell clients my pricing especially if I'm nervous??) and the practical tactics of it - what and how do I charge, how do I find comparable rates/industry standard practices, etc.

This workshop discusses tactics to solve both the mindset challenges and the options/optics challenges from the perspective of someone who's been there. In this interactive workshop, we'll discuss and start solving some of the pricing challenges that come up when you have your own business, whether it's a startup, side business, solo consultancy, etc.

We'll talk about options you have when it comes to pricing (types of pricing models and why you might consider each), where you can find information on industry standard pricing practices, and mindset reframes that help (like if you're internally debating your worth or nervous to discuss pricing with a client).

Come with questions and, if you'd like, something to workshop with the group around your own pricing - we'll have time to share and walk through some examples live.

What we'll cover:

  • Articulate and compare pricing models and their tradeoffs (i.e., discuss why/when to consider each, with examples)

  • Start a search for industry best practices around pricing

  • Practice mindset reframes for difficult pricing challenges (like raising prices or internally debating your worth)
