AMBER: art exhibit & mixtape listening experience
AMBER is a mixtape and eight original paintings made alongside each other over the past year.
On October 2, the work goes up at Alcove Beltline. At 7:30, the mixtape will play through the room in full, with the paintings surrounding it.
The record and the work were made together, and they’re meant to be experienced that way.
Featuring a collaborative piece with Chish Kangombe.
DJ set by Quincy Hinch, who mixed and mastered the tape.
Doors are open from 6 pm–10 pm. There’ll be snacks, refreshments, prints for sale, and time to sit with the work.
RSVP is required, even if you’re just stopping through.
The room has limited capacity, so if it’s full when you arrive, there’ll be an outdoor setup with the music running while you wait. Nobody’s getting turned away.
Entry is free.
If you’re able to contribute, support tickets go toward the room, prints, and refreshments.
