WE'RE BREAKING FREE!! LET'S GOOOOOO!
Whether you’re a beginner singer who’s curious or a seasoned a cappella singer, drop into our event to meet other music folks in the Bay.
At this one, we'll start with an arranging workshop by our very own Emily Drum, and then transition into a drop-in to learn and sing through a full song!
1:30pm: Intermediate Arranging workshop with Drums
Learn important and transferable concepts to take your arrangements to the next level. Emily Drum's name is probably familiar as the name at the top of your sheet music at many many drop-ins. She is a professional vocal arranger/composer whose arrangements have been sung in almost 50 different countries. Besides having every important accolade in this industry (ICCA Finals, winning CARAs, headlining BOSS, featured educator for AzACDA, and more). From the most complex to the most accessible, Drums has so many insights into making your arrangements more dynamic, memorable, but also singable and intuitive, and is super excited to begin sharing them with you!
3:00-6pm: Drop-In A Cappella
We'll warm up together, split up into parts to learn the arrangement section by section, workshop and polish the song, and end with a cathartic group sing.
We'll be singing Breaking Free from High School Musical!
