Welcome to T4T Night of Whimsy! Join us for a special celebration bringing together trans/ nonbinary Asian creatives for a night of readings, comedy, performance, screenings, and mingling.
Also featuring a Gender Affirmation Informational Q&A Session with Trans Health HQ on all things gender affirming care related + injection tutorials. From HRT to GAS, feel free to ask starting at 6:30PM.
This is a space to rejoice in the act of becoming one's true self. Friends and allies more than welcome as well!

Toula Sierros (he/him) is Trans Health HQ's Community Engagement Specialist and community organizer in New York City. He has engaged with over 1 million people through Trans Health HQ's peer health education series covering gender affirming hormone therapy and surgery, sexual health, and accessible resources across New York and beyond. Toula formerly led digital strategy at LGBTQ+ brands and orgs such as Lex, For Them / Autostraddle, Tomboyx, Outbox Gym, and more. Fun fact: when Toula isn’t working, he can be found spending time with his kittens, Rodeo and Pony.

Benedict Nguyễn is a freelance dancer and creative producer. Her writing on labor and culture has appeared in The Baffler, BOMB, Los Angeles Review of Books, Vanity Fair, among other publications. She appeared in the short film “Don’t F*ck with Bà” (2024, dir. Sally Tran) and is producing projects with Will Rawls and Alethea Pace. She’s the author of the [redacted] freelance labor zine nasty notes (2022) and the novel Hot Girls with Balls (Catapult 2025), an ABA Indie Next Pick.
Harry Zhai is an actor and a writer whose work has ranged from published literary journals (Livinia Press) to professional outdoor Shakespeare (Smith Street Stage). His work is rooted in queer personal experience within larger socio-political contexts. He likes to listen to The Magnus Archives when he takes his testosterone to help overcome his fear of needles. Jiashi Zhao is a surrealist filmmaker and performer. She tells stories and poetry that explore loneliness and humanity amongst the concept of self, technology, and collective memory. She has a background in interactive media arts and film.

Comedian:
CHANGXIETY is a queer, Filipino, nonbinary comedian, writer, and actor based in New York City. A finalist at the New York Queer Comedy Festival and semifinalist at Laughing Buddha, Chang has trained at The Barrow Group, Second City, and UCB. Their work has also been recognized by writers at SNL, the Sundance Institute, and CAAMFest. They are 5’2” in real life and 6’6” in presence. They are also in the Top 100 for Culture on Substack.
Filmmakers:
YSA Ancheta (b. Metro Manila) is an artist and writer based in Philadelphia. Often dealing with shapes and rhythm of illegibility, multiplicity, and fragmentation, he uses video to suture curiosities in poetry, archives and gestural performances.
Allen Szema is an independent filmmaker from Lawn Guyland, NY. Among being transgender and Chinese, he is an alum of NYU Gallatin, a former birthday party clown, and has worked as a production intern at The Daily Show. Allen is fond of wordplay, absurd character names, and strange circumstances. In his free time, Allen enjoys painting, journal-writing, and playing card games. Allen believes sincerity makes comedy shine, and his goal is to make feel-good films with sharp humor. Debra is his first short film.
Kai Tomizawa is a New York based filmmaker and recent alum from NYU in Film and TV production. Currently, Kai is in post-production for their thesis film: Bubblegum Babe, an absurd comedy that explores the stresses and joys of building a family as a queer young adult. Kai loves working on strange personal projects that make the uncomfortable and grotesque approachable.
RAISARA is a DJ and filmmaker. She has played amongst many clubs in Bushwick (Mood Ring, Market Hotel, Purgatory). They are excited to be mixing for T4T NoW and are hoping to connect people to her music, especially playing their collection of queer and ESEA sounds.
Marg Zhang is a Brooklyn-based writer and director. Growing up across the U.S., China, and Canada, they turned to art as an act of comfort and resilience. Their work utilizes surreal yet playful imagery to depict identity in complex ways, inspired by growing up lonely with unlimited internet access. They are most interested in themes of dreams, disconnect, and the digital world.
