​Organizers: Institute for Global Decarbonization Progress, IE-iGDP Just Transition Observatory

​This event brings together civil society leaders and policy analysts to examine just transition gaps and solutions, focusing on actionable frameworks for the Global South, especially Southeast Asian countries. It addresses the need for measurable indicators in assessments of social vulnerabilities and resilience in the wake of the global energy transition — encouraging analytical consensus to facilitate collaboration between policymakers, financial institutions, and civil society. It also assesses progress under the UNFCCC’s Just Transition Work Programme, provides insight on the mechanics of the Just Energy Transition Partnership, and explores the growing connection between carbon markets and just transition.
