The Affectionalyzer Art performance!
Situationships are so 2025.
While everyone is catching pokemons, why not test if you have caught any feelings?
Come to TIAT tomorrow for a live demo of the interactive art piece Affectionalyzer.
The Affectionalyzer is a fictional art device that asks: What if the ambiguity we feel in relationships were an illness that demanded medical intervention?
The device uses EEG technology to translate the complexity of human attachment into one clinically legible Mutual Affection Index. Generated through an opaque mix of real physiological signals and fictional data, the device diagnoses your and your partner’s condition and prescribes the appropriate relational action, turning relational ambiguity into something intolerable, measurable, and treatable.
What happens when we outsource judgment of our feelings to a machine? If the diagnosis contradicts what we feel, which one do we trust?
