Against the Inevitable: Finding agency in the age of AI
We can do something about it, actually!
Frontier AI companies are relying on the “inevitability narrative” to push every sector to adopt their tech—use their products, or get left behind. Yet many of us are concerned about Big Tech’s increasingly pervasive influence on democracy, the economy, the environment, and the social fabric. How do we realistically counter the narrative and take back our power?
Join Anew and representatives from Outside, an impact-driven design & tech studio, will walk through the thinking behind their anti-Big Tech AI policy, unpack the myth of technosolutionism, and propose some ways companies can help counter the inevitable.
