AI Safety Action Day (EAGx satellite event)
The day after EAGxBerlin, we're opening our aisafety.berlin coworking space for a day of further networking, reflection, and putting things into practice.
Meet the people in your (target) field, ask the questions you’ve been pondering on for days, write that job or grant application you’ve been putting off, or just connect with other ambitious researchers, policy-makers, field builders, and others working towards safe and beneficial AI.
We’ll offer some structured peer support sessions and office hours. We’ll also have a coworking room, and a large kitchen and communal space for socializing. Note there might not be a fully quiet room, this is an event for networking rather than quiet coworking.
Who this is for
This is for people serious about AI safety, looking for jobs, funding, or collaborators. EAGx attendees and aisafety.berlin regulars are particularly welcome. If you’re new to AI safety, you’re welcome to apply, just note we probably won't have capacity for introductions to AI safety. For that, we recommend the resources on aisafety.berlin/learn
Schedule
11:00 Coworking space opens
11:15 Brunch + networking
12:00 Office hours (tbc) and 1-1 matching
13:00 Lunch break
14:00 Lightning talks (1-3min each)
14:30 Open space (coworking, brainstorming, maybe some semi-structured peer support)
Open end (~18:00 or later)
Please aim to arrive at on the hour (11:00, 12:00, 13:00, etc), so we don't have to keep running back and forth to the gate. If you're late, see instructions at reception. Stay long as you like; you can also just drop by briefly.
Looking forward to fruitful conversations and collaborations!
- Manuel
