Harvard XR 2026 Conference
HXR 2026 Conference is the annual conference organized by the Harvard GSD XR Club, bringing together researchers, creators, and innovators to explore the evolving landscape of extended reality. Returning to the Harvard campus on April 11th, 2026, this year’s conference introduces the theme “XR+: From Pixel to Voxel”.
Under this theme, we investigate how XR technologies are expanding beyond two-dimensional interfaces into dynamic, multi-sensory, spatial environments. XR+ represents not only the technological leap from flat pixels to immersive voxels, but also the cultural, artistic, and societal transformations enabled by this shift.
HXR 2026 will feature lectures, hands-on workshops, demo sessions, and a student & industry showcase, bringing together voices from architecture, design, engineering, healthcare, gaming, AI, and beyond. The event provides a collaborative platform for students, researchers, practitioners, and entrepreneurs to examine how emerging XR methodologies are reshaping creative practices, spatial storytelling, human-computer interaction, and the built environment.
