About Event

About the event :

Alexandra Steinacker-Clark, Lyse De Quillacq, Tanisha Raj, and Margie Feldmar come together for an honest conversation about building your network in the art world : what works, what doesn't, and everything in between.

From peers and collaborators to curators, collectors, institutions, and mentors, the art world runs on relationships. This panel digs into how to approach each of those connections with intention and authenticity, drawing on the speakers' own experiences, hard-earned lessons, and practical strategies for making meaningful connections that actually last.

Whether you're an emerging artist, working in the arts, or just curious about how networks really function in creative spaces, expect to leave with a clearer sense of how to show up in the art world with confidence, generosity, and purpose.

Where :

HYVE hostel Basel, Gempenstrasse 64, 4053 Basel, Switzerland.

When :

Friday, 19th of June, 10am to 12pm.

About Tanisha :

Born in Hong Kong to Indian parents, Tanisha has lived in London, the US, Berlin, and now Lisbon. Initially drawn to woodcut printmaking at the age of 16, she immersed herself in carving abstract, intricate patterns, reimagining traditional woodcut techniques. Inspired by the symbolism of circles, from sacred mandalas to microscopic textures, her work explores fluidity, strength, and life's cyclical nature. This year Tanisha is back to make our artists experience unforgettable. @carvedbytanisha

About Margie :

Hello! I’m Margie Feldmar, a Guatemalan-born art advisor based between Guatemala, Mexico City and the international art scene. With a background in fashion business, design, and art history — shaped through studies in Florence, Rome, Boston, and NYC — I specialize in art acquisition, collector advisory, and connecting clients with meaningful works and artists.

Over the years, I’ve collaborated with renowned artists, galleries, and industry experts while guiding collectors in building thoughtful and culturally relevant collections. I’m especially passionate about supporting emerging artists and helping amplify their voices within the global art world.

Driven by a deep appreciation for culture, aesthetics, and human connection, my work focuses on creating authentic relationships between collectors, artists, and the evolving contemporary art landscape.
