About Event
Join us for a hands-on workshop where you are the designer! This isn’t just a day for planting. It’s a day for imagining the future of our neighborhood. Students will step into the role of a landscape architect, exploring Sister Dreamer’s gardens and discovering the California native plants that help our community thrive, from fragrant sages to pollinator-friendly wildflowers.
Fall is the perfect time to plant in Southern California, when cooler days and winter rains help native plants grow strong roots. Students will learn the secrets of healthy soil, see how native plants save water and support bees, butterflies, and birds, and then sketch their very own park designs to take home.
Open to ages 5–17.
