One of the most anticipated Columbia alumni events has returned!
🎬 Join us on Friday, June 26, 2026 for an evening of film and conversation at the Columbia University NorCal Alumni Film Night, which will feature six award-winning films by Columbia students.

⭐️ This year's guest-host is Jack Lechner, Film Professor and Film Chair for the Columbia University School of the Arts (https://arts.columbia.edu/profiles/jack-lechner). His producing credits include the Oscar-winning documentary The Fog Of War; Blue Valentine; The New Yorker Presents for Amazon; Bite Me; Group; Untouchable for Hulu; Explorer for National Geographic; Left Of The Dial for HBO; TruInside for TruTV; Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys for Sundance; The New Public and Playwright: From Page to Stage for PBS; and the pilot of Mad Men for AMC. As an executive at Miramax and Film Four, he was involved in the production and development of dozens of movies, including The Crying Game, Good Will Hunting, and The Full Monty.
Professor Lechner will be sharing behind-the-scenes stories about each film and his "reviews." Q&A to follow. We are also anticipating a few other visitors from Columbia, so stay tuned for updates.
