​18:30 Agents that pay: Unlocking the agentic economy by Štěpán Škopek, Software Engineer at Apify.

​Thanks to MCP and all the MCP server directories, agents can now autonomously discover new tools and other agents. This lays down the foundation for the future agentic economy, where businesses will sell to autonomous agents (B2A) and eventually agents will sell to other agents (A2A). However, one key part is still missing: agents currently lack a standard mechanism to subscribe to and pay for external services. In this talk, we’ll walk you through the newly proposed agentic payment protocols, such as X402 or L402. We’ll also demonstrate how to give agents full autonomy to discover and pay for new external MCP-enabled services and automatically pay for them.
