​As the global race to build AI infrastructure accelerates, a critical tension is emerging: data centers and agriculture are drawing on the same finite resources — water and land. AI infrastructure is now a matter of national competitiveness and security, just as food and water security are matters of national survival. This isn't a question of whether to build one at the expense of the other — both are essential. With $750 billion flowing into data center development this year, the scale of capital at play gives us an unprecedented opportunity to build the regenerative infrastructure our land, water, and energy systems need for the long term.
