About Event

AI for the Rest of Us: an honest conversation for people who are curious about AI and a little afraid of it. No demos, no jargon. A room to figure out where you stand, together.

You run a small business. You coach, you consult, you farm, you make things. AI arrived in the middle of all of it fast, loud, everywhere and nobody asked if you were ready. You're curious. You're also uneasy. Both are reasonable, and this room is built for both.

This is a facilitated conversation in three parts.

First, we talk about the change itself. What it actually feels like to work through a shift this fast — the pressure to keep up, the doubt, the quiet question of what it means for you. Saying it out loud, with other people in the same spot, changes something.

Then we get honest about where does using AI feel right to you, and where doesn't it? What about your work would feel wrong to hand to a machine and why? There's no company line here. People draw different lines. Hearing where others draw theirs helps you find your own.

Last, we look at our actual work. Together we sort the tasks in your week: which parts are machine work you'd feel comfortable maybe even relieved to give to AI, and which parts are yours to keep: the care, the judgment, the relationships. You don't sort alone; the room thinks it through with you, and you leave with people to check in with as you try.

You don't need any technical background. You need one honest question about AI and your work, and the willingness to say it in a room of people who have one too.

Three pain points

  • This change is moving faster than I can process, and I have nowhere to talk about it honestly.

  • I'm curious about AI, but part of me is afraid of it — and I can't tell which feeling to trust.

  • I don't know which parts of my work would be okay to hand to a machine, and which parts I'd regret giving up.

Participants leave with

  • The experience of saying the uneasy part out loud — and finding out they're far from the only one.

  • Their own ethical line: where AI use feels right to them, where it doesn't, and why.

  • A first sort of their own tasks — the machine work they'd hand over comfortably, and the human work they're keeping — plus people from the room to navigate it with.

Who it's for

Small business owners, coaches, consultants, farmers, makers, independent professionals — anyone curious about AI and a little afraid of it, whose work is changing around them without asking. No technical background needed. Not a tools tutorial, not a debate about whether AI is good or bad, and nobody will make you touch a tool.

What to bring

Just yourself and a sense of your working week. Nothing to install, nothing to prepare.

About InsightsOut

InsightsOut (https://insightsout.work) is a San Francisco company founded by Nima Imani, working on the human side of AI change and leadership.

For organizations: AI leadership alignment, and workshops for managers whose teams are stretched.

For people: community workshops, and coaching for founders and leaders on decision uncertainty, co-founder conflict, changing roles, and what should stay human.

One purpose underneath both: protecting and strengthening human agency and leadership during rapid change, backed by research built from what people share in these rooms.
