AI Inference Hack Day
AI Inference Hack Day
A full-day hackathon for builders working where model APIs meet real product constraints.
On June 10, we are bringing AI builders together at AWS Builder Loft in San Francisco for a focused hack day sponsored by Akamai AI Inference Cloud. The challenge: build a working demo that shows how better inference choices can make an AI product faster, cheaper, safer, more reliable, or more useful.
Expect a practical kickoff, hands-on workshops, implementation clinics, focused build time, project submissions, finalist demos, judging, and evening networking.
What You Might Build
Model routing based on price, speed, quality, or task type
Evals or observability for production AI workflows
Latency-sensitive agents, assistants, or product features
Cost-aware AI tools with better user experience
Developer tools for testing, debugging, or deploying inference
Vertical AI products where reliability matters
Workshops
Workshops and implementation sessions will cover inference architecture, model routing, deployment tradeoffs, latency and cost decisions, evals, observability, and product reliability.
Who Should Come
AI engineers, founders, applied ML builders, infrastructure teams, developer tooling teams, product builders, students, and independent builders working with LLMs or generative AI.
Technical & Non-Technical Teams Welcome
You do not need to be a full engineering team to participate. Technical builders, product teams, designers, operators, founders, and mixed teams are all welcome. Bring a product problem, workflow, prototype, customer insight, or technical idea and use the day to turn it into something concrete.
Food will be provided. Admission is free, and registration is approval-based because space at AWS Builder Loft is limited.
