About Event

AI Fundamentals is our education track: shorter sessions on the concepts, before the keyboard.

During this event, we will walk through the tools people use to build with AI, things like GitHub, Vercel, MCPs, agents and subagents, and explain what each one is for in plain language.

The goal is that you leave with a map of how these pieces connect and the vocabulary to talk about them, whether you are brand new to this or already building and want the full picture.

Topics include:

Models, apps, and what you are using when you open ChatGPT
How an idea turns into code.
GitHub and pull requests, to manage your code.
Where an app lives once it exists, and what has to change before anyone else can use it
What AI needs from you before it can do anything useful
Connectors & MCP, or how AI reaches the tools you already have open
Skills, agents, subagents. What it means to hand off part of a job

Speaker: Manav Garkel

Manav Garkel is a software & AI engineer with a foundation in backend systems. He builds web applications, AI agents, and automated workflows that help businesses run operations, produce content, and cut down on everyday manual work. He is currently building Sembra while developing software for clients, carrying projects from the initial business problem through implementation and deployment.

Through the AI Build Club, he helps people understand AI and learn to build with it themselves.
