AI for Workforce Development: A Roundtable with Leaders from the Western Hemisphere
AI Collective Boulder, in partnership with the Boulder Council for International Visitors (BCIV), is hosting a roundtable with leaders from across the Western Hemisphere visiting the United States through the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program.
The delegation brings together founders, regulators, and government officials from Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, and Uruguay. Their work spans AI for industrial safety, youth STEM training, banking risk oversight, labor market policy, digital government and data protection, satellite data for disaster response, and digital transformation.
Together we will explore a shared question: how do we build the people, skills, and infrastructure needed to put AI to work responsibly? Topics include:
What it takes to run AI at scale, from compute to data to operations
Preparing workers and students for jobs that AI is changing
How governments can set sound policy for AI and data
Practical uses of AI in agriculture, public health, education, mining, and finance
Where Colorado and partners across the Western Hemisphere can collaborate
