UCD Builds - Pilots and Prototypes (w/ The AI Collective and Lovable)
Most students believe a prototype requires a computer science degree, a technical co-founder, or a funding round. During this session, we'll prove that wrong.
Hosted by The AI Collective's Dublin chapter and UCD Innovation Academy, Pilots & Prototypes puts you into a builder and has you ship something before you leave. No coding experience is needed. If you've never opened a build tool before, you're exactly who this session is for!
Our sponsor Lovable will be providing 100 credits for each participant to help them get started building.
How the afternoon runs:
3:00pm: Doors
3:15pm: Welcome and a live demo of products built by non-technical founders with Lovable, including a platform built solo with no developer and no funding
3:30pm: Build time. Start building your idea, with organisers and experienced builders on hand for troubleshooting
4:30pm: Show and tell. Share what you made, however rough
4:50pm: Wrap-up and networking.
5:00pm: Close
What to bring:
A laptop, a charger, and one idea: a college project, a side hustle, or a problem you keep noticing on campus will do! Claiming Lovable credits requires a credit card.
Who this is for:
UCD students from any faculty. Founders in waiting, operators, and anyone who has said "I'd build it if I could." Places are capped at 50.
Please be advised: Unfortunately, space is very limited at these community events and we can not always accept everyone we would like to. If you are not accepted to this event, please keep applying! We appreciate your application tremendously and we are looking forward to seeing you at a future event very soon!
