Join us for Building Your First AI Agent, a hands-on workshop hosted by the Research Triangle–NC chapter of the AI Collective in association with IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).
This interactive session is designed for individuals across the Research Triangle area, NC who are interested in learning how to build AI agents from the ground up. Whether you're new to AI or already exploring agentic systems, this workshop offers a practical, guided experience.
Whether you're a developer, researcher, student, or simply curious about AI, you’re welcome here. Our goal is to create an inclusive, collaborative space where participants can learn by doing, ask questions, and engage with others across different experience levels.
During this workshop, we will:
• Introduce key concepts behind AI agents and agentic workflows
• Walk through a step-by-step, hands-on session to build your first simple AI agent
• Explore real-world applications of AI agents across industries
• Provide time for Q&A, discussion, and troubleshooting during the build process
• Connect with others in the Triangle AI community
