Thunder Bay AI Hackathon
Thunder Bay AI Hackathon
Spend a day building something real. The Thunder Bay AI Hackathon is a hands-on event where teams tackle practical challenges submitted by local businesses and organizations, hosted by the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre and AI Collective Thunder Bay.
How the day runs
Challenge statements go out at 8:00 AM on September 26, and teams have until late afternoon to build, test, and get a working solution ready to present.
8:00 AM: Challenge statements released
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM: Build time
5:30 to 6:30 PM: Presentations, awards, and networking
Cash prizes will be awarded, with details announced closer to the event. Cloud credits will be available to support your build, and there are no restrictions on tooling. Use whatever models, APIs, and frameworks get the job done.
Who should come
Anyone who wants to spend a day building. Developers and students are the obvious fit, but designers and people newer to AI are just as welcome. You don't need to be an expert; a willingness to dig in and work with a team is what counts.
Teams are 2 to 4 people. When you register, include your teammates' names and email addresses. If you don't have a team yet, register on your own and let us know. We'll do our best to match you with other participants looking for teammates.
