Ontario Hackathons: Regional Mixer featuring HuskyHack
The Ontario Hackathon Coalition is starting early.
We were going to wait until Toronto Tech Week. We couldn't wait.
March 25th is HuskyHack's application deadline. We are organizing a Regional Mixer to meet the team, hear their story, and encourage applications before the window closes.
HuskyHack believes everyone has a story to tell and that you should turn yours into something real alongside 100+ new friends in the heart of Toronto. That's the kind of energy the Ontario Hackathon Coalition wants to amplify across the whole province.
Now featuring: Special guest Aksshatt Bariar, 5x organizer and winner of last weekend's GenAI Genesis. Come meet and learn from one of the best hackathon organizers in the GTA.
🚀 What is the Ontario Hackathon Coalition?
We want Ontario to be known internationally for its hackathons.
We want young students across this province to aspire to compete in hackathons, not just hockey.
The path is simple: More. Bigger. Better. We elevate the incredible hackathons that already exist. We encourage new ones to form. We learn from the best organizers in every corner of Ontario.
This mixer is the first step: organizers, hackers, sponsors, and community builders getting in a room together. The best ecosystems are built on relationships, not just registrations.
🗓️ The Bigger Picture
For Toronto Tech Week 2026 (May 25-29), we are hosting a flagship Hackathon Mixer bringing together communities like KingHacks, UofT Hacks, GenAI Genesis, TMU Tech Week, CTRL+HACK+DEL, BearHacks, HuskyHack and more.
And looking further out — Toronto Tech Week 2027 or 2028 — the vision is a world-class flagship event at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre: thousands of hackers, world-class sponsors, a $1M grand prize.
Ontario will be Yours to Discover for Hackathon Culture. 🚀
👋 Who should come?
Students curious about or actively applying to HuskyHack
Hackathon organizers from across the GTA
Sponsors and community builders who believe in the builder ecosystem
Note: food, drinks and fun will be pay-your-own-way (separate bills).
