From Policy to Practice: Building AI Governance and a Real-World Look at Dental AI at Fenway Health
At this upcoming AI in Action session, we're excited to bring in Fenway Health from Boston as they share their journey building a multidisciplinary AI governance structure at a FQHC, followed by a real-world case study. Fenway Health's Clinical Director of Dentistry will also discuss the implementation of Overjet AI, a diagnostic dental AI tool reshaping care delivery on the ground.
Speakers
Alicia Anderson
AVP of Quality Improvement, Fenway Health
Alicia Anderson oversees the quality, compliance and risk management functions of the organization, and ensures ongoing compliance with accrediting and recognition bodies including The Joint Commission, the National Center for Quality Assurance (NCQA), and HRSA. Prior to coming to Fenway in 2007, Alicia served as Program Analyst at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY and worked with HIV/AIDS case management organizations on quality improvement. In 2005, she earned her MBA in Healthcare Administration from the Graduate College of Union University, now Clarkson University, in Schenectady, NY. Alicia is certified as a Black Belt in Six Sigma quality improvement methodology, as a healthcare executive with the American College of Healthcare Executives, and as a SCUBA Divemaster by SSI.
Michelle Dempsey
Clinical Director of Dentistry, Fenway Health
Michelle Dempsey has led the dental department at Fenway Health for over 16 years, serving the community’s diverse healthcare needs. With an engineering background and deep expertise in dental technology – including CAD/CAM, 3D printing, digital scanning, and AI applications in dentistry – she brings a unique perspective to the intersection of clinical care and emerging technology. Michelle is passionate about leveraging innovation to improve efficiency, reduce provider burnout, and expand access to high quality healthcare for the underserved populations.

AI in Action is a monthly webinar series developed through the collaboration of the Center for Care Innovations, Health AI Partnership, AllianceChicago, and South Carolina Health Center Controlled Network.
